Developer Guidelines for New Home Construction

1/25/24

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping you informed about developments within our community, we would like to share important information regarding the rights of developers in the selection of new home construction and color palettes.

City Center West Metro District is dedicated to fostering a harmonious and visually appealing community, and we recognize the vital role that homeowners play in shaping the character of our neighborhood. In 2023 the developer rights for the community transferred from Hartford to Journey Homes.  Both the Metro District Board and Pinnacle Consulting Group did not have any say or right of refusal.  It is with this transfer in mind we would like to outline the following guidelines and developer rights for your awareness:

Developer Guidelines for New Home Construction:

  1. Architectural Harmony: New home constructions should maintain architectural harmony with existing structures in the neighborhood, including the use of similar materials and design elements. This is determined by the Developer.
  2. Color Palette:  Developers have the freedom to choose colors for the new construction, however, they are committed to a cohesive and visually appealing streetscape.  New colors that are complementary to the current community have been introduced as part of the new home construction by Journey Homes.
  3. Landscaping: Developers are encouraged to incorporate landscaping that enhances the curb appeal of new homes. Thoughtful landscaping contributes to the overall attractiveness of our community.

We believe that this information will help foster transparency and understanding within our community. If you have any questions or would like further clarification on these guidelines, please feel free to reach out to us.

Thank you for your continued commitment to making City Center West Metro District a wonderful place to call home.
